To ensure maximum performance and extend the lifespan of your Gama Professional hair dryer, we recommend regularly using the self-cleaning function, available on all models in the iQ line: iQ1, iQ2, and iQ3.
This function uses a reverse airflow to remove dirt trapped in the filters and keep the motor running efficiently.
Self-Cleaning Procedure (same for all models):
-
Remove all accessories (nozzles, diffusers, etc.)
-
Turn the hair dryer on and off (switch from “0” to “I” and back to “0”)
-
With the hair dryer off, press and hold for 7 seconds the button marked with the letter A and the circular arrow (note: the button’s position slightly varies among the different iQ models)
-
The dryer will blow air in reverse for 10 seconds, then turn off automatically
-
If you want to run a second cleaning, wait 30 seconds
Tip: Perform the self-cleaning once a day, especially in professional environments.
Manual Filter Cleaning
In addition to automatic self-cleaning, we also recommend regular manual cleaning of the filter:
• How to do it: Remove the filter by twisting the rear ring, clean it with a brush or cloth (you may use alcohol or any type of cleaner)
• Recommended Frequency:
-
Professional use: daily
-
Home use: once a week
Why Perform It?
Self-cleaning helps to:
• Remove residue that slows down the motor
• Ensure optimal airflow
• Extend the hair dryer’s lifespan
• Maintain high performance day after day
The latest iQ models even include spare filters!
