Cleaning the filters is essential to protect the engine and keep its performance intact. If active, the self-cleaning function turns the motor in reverse, pushing any dirt particles that have penetrated the hairdryer outwards.
This self-cleaning phase must be carried out after each use of the hairdryer.
The steps to follow:
Remove any accessories attached to the hairdryer such as nozzles or diffuser. Turn the hairdryer on and off. If the hair dryer has not been used for a long time, you should turn it on and leave it on for a few seconds. When turning on the hairdryer, make sure that the filters are mounted: remove them only in the subsequent phases.
Now take out your iQ's filters. Press and hold the speed button at the bottom for 5 seconds to activate the following sequence:
Initially, the airflow blows at maximum speed for 3 seconds, eliminating hair or dust.
Next, the hairdryer automatically blows air in the opposite direction, towards the back of the hairdryer, for 10 seconds, removing dirt trapped in the filters. Automatic cleaning ends when the engine stops.
To start a new automatic cleaning cycle, wait 30 seconds at the end of the sequence.
During the process, be sure to keep the ends of the hairdryer free of obstructions and away from any obstructing surfaces.
Once the self-cleaning sequence is complete, the hairdryer can be used regularly.
To stop the automatic cleaning cycle, press the activation button. If the automatic cleaning cycle is canceled the hairdryer does not consider it valid. To function regularly, the hairdryer will need to run a complete self-cleaning cycle without interruption.
